Hello and happy Tuesday! Today is the official release date of Graceley Knox’s book Crown of Betrayal, which is the second book in The Wicked Kingdoms series. This book series is a paranormal / fantasy romance, and if I may say, that’s almost perfect combination of genres. Here is the beautiful cover of the new book:

________________________________________________

Synopsis:

Now that the threat to Ever is imprisoned and gone for good, she can focus on what really matters: getting rid of the goblins living in her house as “protection” and getting back to work capturing rogue Fae for the Magical Enforcement and Containment Agency. Too bad fate doesn’t agree with her plans.

Ever’s mother is still missing, and Ever and her crew must find an ancient race long believed dead. As questions pile up and danger creeps closer, Ever can no longer deny the pull Dare has over her heart. And her body. As they forge a new bond, betrayal strikes, and it’s closer to home than either of them could have imagined.

Trouble stirs. Alliances fall. The only thing that binds them together is the trust they’ve put in each other and the emotions Ever refuses to name. Everything starts to crumble, and those Ever protects are no longer free from danger. Will she keep those she holds dear safe? Or will she be left to pick up the pieces?

August 2017 TBR

Hey guys! Because it’s already the third of August, it’s time to decide my TBR for this month. If you’ve read my blog during the summer, you might have noticed that I have barely read anything. That’s why I won’t be giving myself many books to finish in this month. But without any further ado, let’s see what books I’m planning on reading in the month of August.

_______________________________________________

Screenshot_20170801-183650

1. To Kill A Mockingbird (To Kill A Mockingbird #1) by Harper Lee. I am currently reading this book but I’m only thirty pages in. It’s a bit slow paced for me because I’m used to read fantasy books that have action right from the beginning but I’m sure I will get into this book, eventually.

Screenshot_20170505-115208

2. It by Stephen King. This book is being made in to a movie (again) so I wanna read this before I see the movie adaptation. I know that the movie doesn’t come out until October but this is a massive book and it is very likely that I won’t be able to finish this in any time soon. But I wanna at least start this book in this month. And who knows, maybe I will finish this sooner than I thought.

__________________________________________________

And those are the two books I would like to finish in August. It’s not an ambitious TBR but considering how many books I’ve read during the past months, those will do just fine. And if you’re wondering, yes, I am still reading Gone (Gone #1) by Michael Grant but I’m reading it every now and then, when I’m in the mood. But it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t like it. No! I’m really enjoying it but I’m just in this weird reading slump so I don’t want to force myself to read it because I want thoroughly enjoy it. Anyways, that’s about it. I will see you soon with another post.

July Wrap-Up 2017

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday! I feel so bad not posting anything for a month… So I’m apologizing that, again. But don’t you worry, I try to get back to my posting schedule in three weeks because that’t when my summer job ends.

Now I wanna share my really minimal July Wrap-Up. First of all, I bought more books than I read. And secondly, I read the one and only book during the last week of July. If that’s not pathetic then I don’t know what is. Just kidding. Now to the books!

_____________________________________________________

Screenshot_20170801-174530.jpg

1. The only book that I managed to read was Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. I’m super, super happy that I finlly got around to read this book. I’ve heard so many people mention it and I’ve always wanted to read it myself, too. The ending in this book was my favorite because it was simply so cute and happy. It just made me smile.

_____________________________________________________

Next, it’s time for my July book haul. In a month of July I bought myself three books, which is an avarage and reasonable amount of books for me. I might have bought one of these already in June but it doesn’t make a big difference. Here are the books:

 1. The Final Empire (Mistborn #1) by Brandon Sanderson

2. The Black Prism (Lightbringer #1) by Brent Weeks

3. To Kill A Mockingbird (To Kill A Mockingbird #1) by Harper Lee

Those are the three books I purchased to myself. I’m excited to read all of them and in fact, I’m currently reading To Kill A Mockingbird and I’m really liking it so far. I’m going to do a review of it when I finish it, since it’s a classic book.

_____________________________________________________

That’s all about today’s post. Also, let me know in the comments if you’ve read any of these books, I would like to hear some of your thoughts. I will see you soon with another post!

Thanks for reading! ❤

July 2017 TBR

Hello everyone and happy Saturday. I hope you’re having a great weekend. Because it’s the first day of July, it’s time to decide what books I try to finish in this month. As we all know, I didn’t get to read many books in June so I’m not going to do an ambitious TBR for this month. Here are the books that I try to finish in July:

________________________________________________________

 Screenshot_20170419-215333

1. Gone (Gone #1) by Michael Grant. This book was already on my June TBR and I’m so sad that I didn’t manage to read it. I’ve been wanting to read this book for such a long time now so I try to find some time to read this and see, whether or not I’m going  to contune this series all the way to the end.

Screenshot_20170519-133627

2. Strange the Dreamer (Strange the Dreamer #1) by Laini Taylor. It’s kinda odd that I didn’t read this book in last month, even though I’m super excited to read it. I’ve heard some mixed feelings of this book but I’m not letting them to effect on my reading experience.

Screenshot_20170701-184809.jpg

3. Death Comes As The End by Agatha Christie. I’m also currently reading this book so I try finish it first before I tackle the other two books. So far I’m really enjoying it.

_______________________________________________

Those are all the books I try to finish in the month of July. Fingers crossed that I at least get to finish the one I’m currently reading. Let me know in the comments if you’ve read any of these books and what I thought about them, but no spoilers.

Thanks for reading! ❤

June 2017 Wrap-Up

Hello everyone! I can’t believe June is almost over, time flies way too fast. Today I’m brining you my ridiculously small June wrap-up. I didn’t read almost at all. This month was like the worst reading month for me to be honest. Because I’m working during the weeks, I’m just so tired when I get home so all I want to do is to watch Netflix. But here are the books that I managed to read in the month of June:

___________________________________________________________

Screenshot_20170429-165516

So one of the books that I read in June was Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children #1) by Ransom Riggs. I really enjoyed this book even though it took me almost a month to finish it. Now I understand people who worship this book, and the whole series. I gave this book five out of five stars.

Blood Rose Front Cover

I also finished Blood Rose (Blood #1) by Danielle Rose. Danielle just knows how to write epic witch books. I loved this book and I’m really looking forward the next book. I gave this book 4.5 stars.

____________________________________________________________

As you can see, I didn’t read that many books. I’m kinda disappointed but at the same time not. In July I try to read more books but I’m pretty sure it’s not going to happen, but we’ll have to wait and see what will happen.

It is a new adult fantasy story with steamy romance but that’s all I’m giving out because I think you should read this book without knowing too much of it. Blood Rose

by Danielle Rose

There’s no wrath like that of a witch scorned.

As one of the only spirit users in her coven, Avah has been chosen to wield The Power, the ultimate weapon against the immortal vampire species witches have been at war with for centuries.

But on the night of her birth rite, Avah’s coven is attacked. Forced to seek refuge among the very beings she’s sworn to kill, Avah vows revenge on those who took her former life from her.

As Avah slowly transitions into a life of blood and war, she realizes everything she’s been told is a lie.

Non-spoiler review

MY THOUGHTS:

I started to read this book as soon as I received it on Kindle because it sounded so cool witch story, with unique elements. I loved that the author had combined vampires and witches to a same book because that’s something I don’t see often enough. I’m not lying if I say that I was hooked from the first paragraph because right from the beginning this book was addicting and every time I stopped reading, I wanted to pick this book up again and continue reading. And I think that’s something that tells if a book is worth of spending time.

Danielle’s writing was beautiful and I loved how she had described the elements that the witches were able to control. The book was going straight forward with suitable amount of other description. There just wasn’t time when I thought “when is this going to end?” I could say that the story telling in this book was almost perfect.

I really connected with Avah. She was so brave and independent, and she new which way to go. During the book, Avah changed so much, physically and mentally, but that’s all I’m saying. It was kinda predictable but at the same time not, just like many other things in this book, but those things make a good book.

If I have to sum up my thoughts of this, I’d say 4.5 stars of total five and everyone who’s looking for new witch book to read, you should definitely try this one. I guarantee, you won’t be disappointed.

May 2017 Wrap-Up

Hello lovely people! I have started three posts but I haven’t had time to finish any of them. I’ve been super busy because I’ve been working and after a work day, I’m so tired that I don’t have energy to write blog posts. So I wanna apologize that I haven’t post anything for a while. But today, I’m brining you my May Wrap-up, and tomorrow my June TBR, so stay tuned for that.

May was pretty good reading month for me. I didn’t get around reading all the books I had put on my TBR for May, but I’m still pretty pleased with the amount of books that I managed to read in a month of May. Here are the books that I read:

____________________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________

I have to say, I read really good books in the month of May. Next month I’m probably going to read less books because I don’t have that much time for reading during the weeks. Also, during my summer vacation, I’m going to post only once a week, and if I have enough energy then I will write more. But tomorrow I’m going to post my June TBR so be excited for that.

Thanks for reading! ❤
